Official release of IGI’s NPD Norwegian North Sea database

IGI are pleased to announce that our commercial Norwegian North Sea geochemical database is now publicly and freely available online through Metis Discover, as a result of a joint project with the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD).

While limited early access was already available since February, the official release was announced earlier this month by the NPD. The geochemical database currently includes 58,440 samples from 785 wells, and IGI will continue to update the database in the future.

It can be accessed via IGI’s webpage, the NPD FactPages, or directly here.  Registration is simple and free of charge, and need only be done on first use.
